Ariadne's ducklings

They are really too big to be called ducklings now.  I put the telephoto lens on today, so I could stand well back and get a shot of them at play, and to do that I stood in a different spot.  Being Call Ducks, that was too much for them, just after I took this shot they all climbed out of the water and came up the bank to see what I was doing, very quickly getting too close to take a pic of an entire duck!!

Claire's Busy Day

Claire Duck is having a very busy day.  First there was a little swim in the sink this morning.

Which got even better when I added some greens for fun and feeding!!

The excitment was too much - ducking and diving - game on!!

Today has been the first really sunny warm day since Claire hatched a week ago.  We decided to take her outside, let her discover grass and have another water play.

Toad supervised the whole activity!!

In the Garden Today

Super Star is a rose my grandmother had in her garden at Bairnsdale.

Fiona's Wish is also flowering, liked this full bloom and 3 bud piece.  Those are not weeds in the background - they're chives and spring onions!!

Lechenultia 'Ring of Fire' is in a tub on the back verandah, think it needs better access to sun by the way its leaning forward!!

Claire Update

This duckling is so attached to people, so suited to being a pet, but so lonely!!  I am scouring the ads to find her a friend, but no luck so far!!

Here she is hanging with Freya - watching Freya's favourite movie this morning with Toad, who is so maternal it's almost painful!!

More Stuff

Doesnt matter if its a fruit bowl, or 'useful' things.... sometimes I bring home exciting pieces from the 'buy back' centre at the tip that my family are well... less than keen on - will have to photograph some of them - when the rain stops...but hopefully that will not be any time soon.  So here is some indoor inspiration!  Its not my stuff, which makes it even more interesting!!

Stuff

Collections - a working 'mess', ordered chaos, called it what you will... I always find these things inspiring and visually exciting.

The Boys

Magneto and Mephisto - relaxing... and in Fatty's case I use the term loosely!! - on the sofa the other day.
