We are keeping the black boy - Ninja, and the blue splash boy - Spotty (temporary name!!) and the 3 girls, spotty girl - Dotty, lilac cream girl (no name yet) and the darker girl... still no name yet!! LOL!!
These were all hatched from posted eggs and are brooder babies and thus very tame. Ninja is past tame and into downright in your face. Pecks at your hands 'in case' you have anything in them for him to eat, steals everything and worries about whether he really wants it later, tells Rouens 4 times his body weight to 'get out of the way'. Nice chick, but needs to learn some respect if he's going to get on in the world!! LOL!!

Usually when I exterior paint for chook houses and the Duck Hilton in general, I choose from the cheaper, mixed in error colours, but alas they were all out of seconds on my last visit so I got to choose the colour I wanted!! Thus everything here is purple!! LOL!!
The Rouens are growing up, and not many of them fit in the clam shells at once, luckily there is more than one calm shell, but they seem content to wait in line and all use the same one!!
Flashy speculum!
Spotty again! He's a very good looking cockeral :)
quite adorable. Must be fun to watch. Perhaps you could call them ladies in lavender.
ReplyDeleteThey are fun to watch :) We've called the lilac cream one Lilla, and the darker girl Geisha as she'll be going with Ninja. Spotty is probably stuck with his name, and as he's staying with Dotty that'll be OK. They'll be the Lavender and Lace bunch I think - LOL!!
