Farm Visit

Last weekend the tables were turned, and Freya brought Scarlett to the farm to visit us :)  It was fab.

Initially she was a little overwhelmed by the affections of Kiki and Yoyo, but she quickly learnt to make them 'sit'.

The vast amount of water in the dam was a huge attraction.

But the stuff lying around in puddles in the paddock was the best fun.

She enjoyed meeting the animals, and they were all keen to investigate the new little person in their midst!

A Short Visit with Scarlett and an Even Shorter One with Moche

A lot of driving on Sunday - but all good in my new big red car!!  Got to share a short visit with Scarlett, who was all smiles as usual - before 'clean up'

And after....

Then a flying visit for Moche, hand out a few llama lollies and hand over his jabs, a few happy snaps and we're off again!!  He is growing really well and looking as fit as a fiddle.

Canberra and a visit with Scarlett Rose

I hadnt even put my foot on the front step when through the fly wire I heard a very chirpy little voice say (very loudly!) "Hello Gargie" :)  Scarlett is very keen on 'chatting' as always, lots to say, lots of new words... turtle, frog, lion, owl!  Books to read and Lego to play with and her 'winning' smile as soon as I get my camera out.  Pictures taken she wants to review them on the back of the camera, then my keys inspected for the Maison Mauve tag - much pointing and "llama, llama"  :)  We have a convert!

Off to Canberra on Sunday to visit Scarlett, cheerful and talkative as ever!!

Freya and I used Scarlett's nap time to go shopping, Freya rocking out (?) the new dress!!  LOL!!

Warming Up

I went to see Scarlett a couple of weeks ago, but I was so busy talking, playing, shopping and cup of tea-ing that I didnt get my camera out of my bag :(

But today she is enjoying the sunshine in Canberra, and will be visiting the farm next weekend.  

She is looking much better after giving us all a fright last weekend - she had asthma and pneumonia and had to be airlifted from the coast back to Canberra for treatment, luckily that seems to have been completely effective :)

Sundays with Scarlett and Sunrises

My Mac is out of action, and as such, I've been unable to post... but now have access to a PC and learning to use it all over again is a bit of a challenge for an old brain...  Meantime I have enjoyed a couple of Sundays with Scarlett Rose and there have been some amazing sunrises to see at home :)

And last weekend, good as new and into mischief!  She climbs everywhere!!  Not so much a cat climbing tree as a toddler climbing tree!!

Canberra Trip

Last Tuesday my mother, Thelma Rieper, arrived for a week's visit.  On Saturday we went to Canberra to visit Scarlett, who, even though she had a rotten cold was smiling and happy.

After a quick lunch Mum and I headed off to Griffith for the main reason for her visit - her brother George's 90th birthday party.  Her brother John was also at the party - the 3 siblings don't often get together and they all enjoyed a long chat :)  L to R, George, Thelma, John.

Sunday Shopping and Playng with Scarlett

Scarlett went for an afternoon nap soon after I arrived at her house on Sunday.  Freya and I used the time to go shopping (thanks Dano), leaving just after she went to sleep and timing our return perfectly just minutes before she woke :)   While we were out we got her a back pack, it was a big hit AND there were goodies inside!!

There were two new plastic plates which she really liked :)

And she's going to look great in her new llama shirt!
