I spend too much time looking at the sky, but the light of an approaching storm is an amazing thing!!
Welcome to Rosie Francis' blog, a place to keep pace with the activities of a textile artist, long arm quilter, llama and alpaca farmer and self confessed duck nut living on the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia.

Starting with the newest, and working backwards
I bought 3 Silkie hens at the Shoalhaven Poultry Auction at Berry last weekend. They are lovely colours, Sissy is the boldest, Lacey and Grace are a bit shy, but all are settling well. Deano is not best pleased with them yet, but that'll change ;-D
This is Lacey, who is a lovely rich chestnut colour.
And this is Sissy on the left and Grace on the right. Sissy is getting to be very quiet, and already eating from my hand.

Sometimes they do get on
It doesnt happen very often, but sometimes Pasquale and Loli do get along. Pasq generally wants to play big dog games with Loli, and she doesnt like being chewed!! He likes to play chasey, and even lets Loli be 'it' occassionally. Here they are enjoying a bone (each) in the sunshine.
