Freya and Sweet Pea

Clowning around!!  Freya and Sweet Pea!!

Goats

Feeding time this morning :)

Milly, Molly and Mandy are enjoying the company of other goats down the road at Kerrie and Craig's place.  They are quite small, compared with the their goats.  Each has her own personality, Milly is more independent, Molly and Mandy stick together, and dont like Milly going off on her own!!

This is Mandy.

And this is Milly.

All three girls together, from the left, Milly, Molly, Mandy.

Molly about to help herself.

Goats like the food put out in a timely fashion, otherwise they are a bit inclined to get on with feeding themselves!!

A rescue goat, very friendly, and obviously on a very good wicket!!

My goats are quite small, and light framed, compared with the other Angoras.

Sweet Pea, Carter and puppy Minnie

Freya and I spent some time with Carter and Sweet Pea.  Carter is slowly getting used to the halter, but hasnt got his head around being lead yet - plenty of time!  He is almost 5 weeks old in these pics.  Sweet Pea enjoyed a cuddle and Carter was happy to be handled once the halter and lead rope were off.

Minnie wanted to be in on any cuddles that were going too, but wisely she waited until we had let the llamas go back to the their paddock.

Roses and autumn colour at Nowra Hill

The roses are looking beautiful, despite having been almost totally ignored.

Ian Thorpe (which has been flowering prolifically, and still has dozens of buds) and Warm Wishes.

Last few leaves left on the Liquid Amber.

Sunsets

There have been some rippers lately, and I keep missing photographing them because I am putting away ducks or feeding dogs.  This one was good, but missed the best!!

#5 so alive!!

#5 is growing up, now living in the growing out pen she is blossoming and blooming :)

Ducks today

Its turned quite cool here now, but the ducks are enjoying the water just the same!!

Honey Barbara and Frankie.

Long Tall Sally - she's an Ancona :)

Sylvie in the foreground.

This is little Leylani, such a cutie.

Sabine - keep trying to catch her to put a leg ring on to distinguish her from the other white ducks, no luck yet!!

This is Slim, he's an Ancona, and a bit stressy still!!  Hopefully he'll settle in soon.

Slim and Sally - nap time!!

Angora Goats - 3 new does

Milly, Molly and Mandy are our 3 new Angora does.  Waiting to find out if Milly is pregnant, or just a good do-er :)  They have had a hair cut so that they can see where they're going - more pictures soon.

You know the fire is warm enough when...

Skinny takes on this pose!!  LOL!!

Frost at Wedgewood

Very cool start to the day here this morning.  I photographed the spider's web on the fence between the duck pens, afterwards the Call Ducks escorted me to the gate - they are such little busy bodies!!  LOL!!  The dahlias at the other end of the season, interesting, but not as flashy as the start ;-D

Llamas!! Why wouldnt you want one or some!!

On Friday I had the loveliest visit with Sweet Pea and Carter.  Sweet Pea is infinitely better natured now that Carter has been born.  He had his first try at wearing a halter - not best pleased!!  He has grown so much in a fortnight, 19 days old in these pictures, so much bigger and stronger, but still fluffy and such a cutie!!

For her part Sweet Pea enjoyed her cuddle/massage/pat so much that you can see her neck is lowered, her eyelids are at half mast and she's leaning on me!!  It was so nice, we were both so relaxed after our 'love in' that nothing could upset us :)  You can see how soft she's looking in her portrait shot, we are going to get along so well :)

Flowers at Nowra Hill

Despite being left to its own devices the garden at Nowra Hill has been doing OK.

Grevilla Orange Marmalade:

Roses, Ian Thorpe looking good, Mr Lincoln thriving and first blooms on Super Star too:

Banksias also thriving on neglect:

Scarlet Robin

Another new bird for the list, spied a scarlet robin in the Airstrip paddock last week.

Ducks in the Sun

Its a few days since I took this pic, but its nice to remember that it was warm and pleasant a few days ago!  So much so that the ducks took their morning nap amongst the trees.  Since then a very cold wind has been blowing and they've all been going 'back to bed' in the shed for naps.

Spotty is turning into a lovely rooster, takes good care of his hens, finding food and calling them to it, standing guard and watching for danger, he takes his job very seriously!!  LOL!!

We had thick fog the other morning, and as it lifted it left this young gum by the dam with lots of droplets, looked dazzling in the sun.

This moth was on the fly wire door, my index finger for purposes of scale, it was enormous!!  Didnt want to get too close ;-D
