And Ducks - it IS the Duck Hilton after all!

This is Isolde, looking lovely, she often hangs out with that dynamic duo Rocko and Titus - see below.

Juliet and Romeo, looking dashing.

OK, so Lacey is looking a little scruffy, some of the northern ducks are still moulting.  But she's started laying and that's exciting!!

Leylani, a bit ruffed up by all the drake action, but she's just changed partners recently with the departure of Smarty ;-D

Mabel and Mavis are sisters, and indistinguishable until they speak - Mabel is a soprano, so who's this???  DONT KNOW!! LOL!!!

Penny, another northern import - moulting much Pen??? LOL!!!

This Petra and Liz, big expectations from both of these girls :)

This is Rocko and Titus, they are pretty much inseparable, thugs... pretty much!!

Darling Sally - Ancona Duck - and always looking to see if what I'm carrying could be food - unlucky this time Sal, its a camera!!

Sally has amazing 'piano key' tail feathers.

The ever attentive Slim, he is very protective of Sally, a bit more reserved, but still a favourite.

Sting, still a stunner.

Left to right its The Don, Isabel and Penny, checking out an aeroplane that's been rude enough to invade OUR air space!!  LOL!!

This is The Machine - very much settled in and looking gorgeous.

Very hard to take pics of Tinkerbell and Delilah, here they are hurtling towards me as usual!!  Both race to meet me, both want a cuddle, and whoever gets picked up first enjoys a snuggle.... the other pecks my leg impatiently!!!  LOL!!

Lambing Time

Well its happening - lambs!!  They are a bit ahead of schedule but we've started!!  I think there are 10 so far including 3 sets of twins!!  So far so good - may it continue!!!

The Plum Tree

Name of good restaurant in Perth once upon time, but in this instance, its about a triple grafted tree in the garden here at Wedgewood.  Last year it was hugely productive and if the number of blossoms is any indication, this year should be just as good!!

August sunset

Beautiful skies this evening :)

Baz and Lorraines' 'other' family

Along with the llamas there are a 'regular' crowd of grey kangaroos at Apu Royalla

More afternoon llamas

Lorraine and 'one of the geldings', he was such a friendly chap and so very handsome.

And a pic of Sheriff that didnt get into the Betty's llamas post.  He likes visitors, and has worked out that they usually mean a little 'action' shortly thereafter!!  LOL!!  Apparently a real gentleman with the ladies... look out Sweet Pea!!  LOL!!

A llama afternoon - or - the rest of the day

Having a few problems with loading photos, and have chosen to sort it by starting a new post.

Yesterday afternoon we went to visit with Baz and Lorraine and their llamas.  The tamest I've ever seen, so friendly, so forward and so lovely.

Mum is a lovely old duck, and there are 2 gorgeous girls, ummmm whatshername and Machu Picchu and then 2 geldings who are also lovely.  They go completely spare for alpaca 'nuts', are very inquisitive and so calming to be around.

Whatshername in front, Machu Picchu behind.

Whatshername - gorgeous girl, very fond of Lorraine and gives kisses... especially if alpaca nuts look like they are about to make an appearance!!  LOL!!

One of the geldings, lovely boy and very fond of Lorraine, also gives kisses.  His markings are amazing, and a teeny bit reminiscent of drag queen make-up???

Mum, not too keen on multiple strangers standing about, but lovely girl.

Eddy and the very inquisitive whatshername and Machu Piccu.  Eddy was a bit smitten with these ones!!

Machu Picchu working the camera!!

A lovely llama day

Yesterday we visited with 2 fellow llama owners/enthusiasts  - and had a lovely time.

First we went to see Betty and her sizeable herd, including 3 stud boys with a view to selecting a mate for Sweet Pea.  Tough job!!  The boys were so nice, so friendly and eager to impress us!!

This is Sheriff, and we've chosen him to be dad :)  He is so nice, so friendly and so good looking too!!

This is his son, and I'm sorry, but I've forgotten his name, we met so many llamas this weekend!!  He is a big strong guy and  also very personable - he'll be for next time ;-D

Remembered - its Saladin!! - Aug 23, 2011

And this is the third stud, also no slouch, lovely big llama and very pretty colour.  If Sweet Pea is still up for it, we'll use him the time after :)  Everybody happy!!  LOL!!

Betty also had some darling girls for us to meet, they were all very friendly and all gorgeous, rattle the feed bucket and the sound of thudding feet soon follows!!

The girl front left is mother of stud #2, isnt her colour amazing??  I'm completely fair, I've forgotten everybody's names!!

I think this is Ginger, she is a sweetie, whatever her name!!

Betty also keeps Romney Marsh sheep, they are small and extremely cute!!  This year she had 200% lambing, down on last year though, when she had 300%, that was over achieving because she'd decided to skip a year.  The ram, and a couple of ewes had other ideas ;-D

Betty is poddying one lamb whose mother was a poddy lamb herself.  She is completely unimpressed with motherhood, and not sure what to do with her offspring.  He's had scours, but is improving.  Now a week old, we all have our fingers crossed that he'll make it.  I lay down on the floor to take this shot, its rubbish, but you'll have to deal with that.  He wears a diaper, and sleeps in a washing basket - too cute!!  Good luck little man.
