Rain - Now We're Talking and a Quilt

Finally, after only getting dribs and drabs we're getting some real rain, tanks are filling, dams are filling and animals are getting wet!!

Not sure if you can see it, but up there on the ridge line is one very wet sheep!

This is a sampler quilt made by Louise Omrod, I love the colours and the layout - lovely work, will enjoy quilting this one :)

Lots more lovely Llamas and Alpacas

Doesnt matter how many you have, its always lovely to go visit someone else's herd and especially nice to when that's a large herd - had a nice day at Alpaca Magic, waist deep in llamas and alpacas - so good for the soul!!

This is Yolanda, definitely went to choose her :)  And when I met her, she didnt let me down, nice little girl - tick!

Comes with white male cria - all good.

Next stop dam paddock to check out more girls :)

Not a particularly hot day, but Barossa decided it was warm enough for a dip!!

Several girls are sporting very stylish bouffant hairdos!!

Bow is a good value alpaca, if you can get her to come when called, the rest will follow!!

Fell for Midsummer, gorgeous warm toffee colour, nice big girl and lovely nature.   A Manfredo daughter!

Lovely to chat with Rueben again, he is a very friendly guy!

 See!!

RumNRaisin, looking a bit sleepy here, but as pretty as ever!

One of the Sherazade sons offered as stud potential, you can see why!

Tiana Rose, an old girl, but lovely and plenty of good looking offspring, climb aboard Tiana!!

This is Vynka Lee, interesting colour and very pleasant personality.

Last cria, very nice female!!
Yep, you're in Vynka!

Went to get Yolanda and a friend, but at the end of the day, my lot had grown a little!!  All good!

Freya, Daniel and Rocky

Today Freya and Daniel came for lunch, and they brought Rocky with them.  He's a big dog, very energetic and a bit full on - Kiki loved the rough and tumble games .... to a point.... she will sleep well tonight!!  She cried and whined when it was time for Rocky to leave - any playmate, even a big boisterous one - is a good playmate!!

Another Nowra Road Trip!!

Yesterday I travelled down to Nowra once again, quilts and ducks on board, as usual!!  Stayed with the lovely Shayne and Brad, which was excellent, as usual, and Shayne cooked another delicious dinner - prawns, salmon, wilted asian greens - to die for!!

It was lovely to see Tarquinn and Freddie again, they are looking very well and the grass!!  Positivily luminous!!  Unbelievable, inconceivable!!

Tarquinn is as inquisitive as ever!!

The old horse Gayle is looking after - over the back fence - is looking better, has gained some condition and a sheen to her coat - long way to go yet!!

As usual the brooders were full at Shayne's, chickens and ducklings thriving :)

Managed to get 2 stainless steel laundry troughs at the Nowra buy back centre, these will make good water troughs in the Titanic and Corner paddocks.... all good.  Funny bit was meeting up with my old neighbour Gayle while I was there - just like the good ol' days!!  LOL!!

Pink Lilies and Red Roses

A real splash of colour in the garden right now is provided by these pink lilies - I know lots of people think of them as weeds - and I do have some growing in the middle of a paddock... but I think they're lovely :)

Eddy returned from Canberra on Saturday morning without some of the things I'd asked him to get - however, you cant get cranky with a man bearing 2 dozen red roses (my favourite!!).  They are gorgeous, and uncharacteristically they are lasting very well, still looking good today :)

Kiki and the TV

Kiki usually watches the TV from the couch, but if there animals on the screen, particularly dogs, she has to get up close and bark at them!!

Starlight, Kiki, That Lizard and Noisette

Last night the stars were amazing!

That lizard was back this morning, sitting on the gate very close to where the chain has to go to keep the gate closed.  Means I have to put my hand very close to that lizard!! :(

After a hard morning chasing grass parrots and red brow finches, Kiki likes to cool off her in her paddling dish, she splashes more water than the ducks!!

Noisette is growing up and looking gorgeous :)
