Market Day in Argentat and the 'scenic' way home

On Thursday, its market day in Argentat.  There is the usual array of stuff, I went in search of tete en gelee, but had no luck.  There were several stores selling vast quantities of artificial flowers and no shortage of people wanting them.

This dog did very well for himself, every time someone bought meat from the butcher, he threw the trimmings out the door and straight into this lucky dog's mouth.  Just out of shot is his tail which was wagging flat out!!

The fresh produce was good, the clothing and other stores grim!

I took the scenic route home, having followed signs to a gothic church, but no church found, and no further signs!!  Did find a cemetery and finally found out what all the artificial flowers were for, this place was covered in them.  And most graves had vast numbers of plaques commemorating birthdays and wedding anniversaries of the deceased.

Driving home the 'back' had some very frightening narrow roads, but some brilliant views.

Back at home the farmer had moved stock into the paddock on the other side of the cottage, roundest sleekest fattest cattle ever!!

This cow was rummaging about in the brambles ......  she looks quite fetching dont you think? LOL!!
