The NSW Waterfowl Breeders Assoc Annual Show was held at Yass Showgrounds on May 7. I had 6 Call Ducks entered - we won 2nd Call Drake - Natural, 1st Call Drake - Silver, 2nd Call Duck - Silver, 1st Call Drake - AORC (Any Other Registered Colour) and Best New Colour for the second year in a row with a (different) Buff Call Duck. Very pleased with that :) It was an excellent show with over 300 entries, and nearly 80 Call Ducks - which was the feature breed.
While the judging was taking place I took a wander around the showgrounds where there is a flock of Border Leicester sheep. Love their big round roman noses!! They are looking very fat and round. Bit skittish when I approached on foot in the early morning fog, but much easier to get close to them in the car, later on in the day when the sun was shining.
