Ducklings - the New Bugs and the Teenagers

Newest kid on the block - Cherry's baby, hatched in the incubator this morning.  I first thought that she would be apricot or buff because she was Ella's baby, but careful inspection of the egg tells me she a Cherry (choc bibbed) offspring and now that she's a bit drier she looks like she's going to be a lavender bibbed :)  Couldnt be happier!

Ariadne and her teenagers.  Judas not bothering to wake up for the photo!  Ari front right.  This morning I found Eve (buff) on the grown ups side of the fence.  Think we will move them all in together later this week... if they dont beat me to it!!  LOL!!  Ariadne is still getting her wing feathers, her kids are probably better fliers than her at the moment so maybe they're waiting for her!!

Here is Claire in reflective thought maybe?  I think Claire will turn out to be a drake, and so will be called Chops, better start doing that now so I am used to it when sex is confirmed ;-D

We finally found some friends for Chops and he has taken to them very quickly.  Freya and I bought these day old muscovy ducklings at the Goulburn auction on Sunday.  They are 3 days old by my reckoning now and have already grown heaps, still smaller than Chops but suddenly looking like giants cf Cherry's new bug.  It has to be said that even muscovy ducklings are cute.  The little dark duckling has a dodgy eye, looks quite cloudy and she keeps it closed most of the time.  Have been bathing it and hope it will improve, certainly doesnt seem to be causing her any problems at this stage.
