On the Walk Yesterday

It was a lovely still morning yesterday, so I took my camera along on the walk.  At the dam there were 2 grebes ducking and diving and enjoying the sunshine.  They were on the far side of the water, so this pic is less than perfect!

Havent looked this flower up yet, but they are really pretty and dotted all over the forest at the moment.

We have Shelby (delightful little Poodle x Maltese) staying with us at the moment while her family are away.  She is settling in very well and thoroughly enjoying her holiday too!  Tricky trying to get all three dogs in pic at once!!

Eddy - enjoying Canberra Day in NSW!!  LOL!!

  1. Rosie, the first picture is near perfect for me with the beautiful reflections and the grebe adding the interest of the ripples - makes you look closer to see what is causing it. It's one of those magical pictures where you don't actually see what is in the picture - just the reflected image. Great.

  2. Hi Hilary - thanks, the conditions were near perfect, would have liked a bigger lens, but that's about it!! LOL!! They are magical little birds, diving deeply and re-appearing a long way from the start point. The recent rain has meant that this dam is wonderfully full where it had been on the brink of drying up.
